Special Valentine’s Day Suggestions For Singles

Happy Single’s Awareness Day! And yes I do mean happy! Most of us singles can agree that Valentine’s Day is one of the worst days of the year to be single. All you see are hearts, flowers, and endless posts of couples running around planning these special things for their special someone. Meanwhile, the rest of us are painfully aware of the fact that we do not have anyone to plan anything special for us. So,… let’s plan something for ourselves instead! Just because we are single, does not mean Valentine’s Day is not meant for us. Do something nice for yourself, or for you and your single friends! Below are a few options of things we singles can do to still enjoy the day that is meant for love.
1) Plan a nice night out for you and your friends! Just because you are not with someone special doesn’t mean you have to be alone. Get with some of your single friends, get all dressed up, and make some reservations! You can go to dinner, you can go out to the club (while practicing safe COVID policies), or you can go out for a night/day on the town! Just make sure you get dressed and go out! You are guaranteed to have some fun, and who knows? You may even meet someone special. It is a proven fact that you feel better when you get dressed up. A night out with friends while looking good, leaves you no choice but to have a good time!
2) Plan an amazing day for yourself! Since you don’t have anyone to spoil you this year, spoil yourself! Make an appointment to get your hair done. Go to the spa. Go to the mall and splurge on yourself. Go to that place you’ve been wanting to go to for a while! Whatever you decide to do, make the day about you, and only do the things that will make you happy. There is no reason why you should feel anything but joy on Valentine’s Day. Treat yourself!
3) Have a sexy night in! Who says you can only wear lingerie for someone special? You are someone special, so break out the lace and sexy lingerie! Next on the agenda, is making some tasty desserts. Everyone needs sweets on holidays, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Who doesn’t love chocolate-covered strawberries and homemade slutty brownies with ice cream? If you want to get extra cute, decorate your desserts! Go all out for yourself. There is no one there to watch you eat the whole tray, so go crazy! Plus, chocolate is good for you! Last but certainly not least, light some candles, create some sort of ambiance, and throw on a good movie! I personally love The Notebook, Magic Mike, and 50 Shades of Gray (don’t judge me!), but whatever floats your boat. Just make sure you have a special night in if you choose to celebrate by yourself.
This holiday is not meant to make anyone sad. It is meant to show love to those who you deem special. That doesn’t have to be a partner. It can be family, friends, or yourself. Self-love is one of the most important forms of love there is, so make sure that you do right by yourself, and make Valentine’s Day special whether you have someone to spoil or not.
